Why is Exquisite Royalty Hosting a Leadership Summit instead of a traditional national pageant?
- As travel expenses, lodging costs and financial pressures continue to impact many families, Exquisite Royalty wanted to create a meaningful national opportunity that remains accessible while preserving the values that make our system special.
The summit allows contestants to participate in leadership development, service initiatives, stage experiences, and sisterhood opportunities without the overwhelming expense of a traditional multi-day event.
This transition year allows us to continue celebrating our queens while preparing for future in person national pageants.
What is the National Leadership Summit?
-The national leadership summit is a one-day boutique national experience focused on :
*Leadership
*Community Service
* Confidence
* Communication
* Sisterhood
* Personal Growth
Participants will enjoy leadership speakers, networking opportunities, stage experiences, portfolio submissions, and community-building activities.
Who can Participate?
The summit is open to:
*Current Exquisite Royalty Titleholders
*At-Large Exquisite Royalty Delegates
Do I have to attend in Person?
-Yes, in order to be considered and judged for our national title you must attend and participate in our leadership summit.
How are national titleholders Selected?
-National titleholders are appointed following the summit through review of:
*interview
*essay submission
*community service portfolio
*Leadership Qualities
* Character
*Representation of Exquisite Royalty and their values.
This process allows us to recognize well-rounded titleholders who exemplify leadership and service.
Will there be an On-stage Competition?
-The summit includes opportunities such as:
Introduction Presentations, Spotlight Showcase, Communication Activities, and Leadership Excercises.
However, the summit is designed as. a leadership experience rather than a traditional scored pageant competition.
What is the spotlight showcase?
- The spotlight showcase is an optional stage experience where participants have the opportunity to express their personality, confidence, and style.
Peer-selected awards may be presented during this portion of the event.
What should I wear?
The summit is intentionally designed to reduce financial burden.
Suggested attire includes:
* interview attire
*summit casual attire
* spotlight showcase outfit (optional)
No expensive pageant wardrobe is required.
What happens to current National Deposits?
-Families who previously submitted the national deposit of $100.00 will receive the credit for those payments toward summit registration. Additional details will be provided directly to registered contestants.
What about my discount winnings from state?
-All discount awards won at any state pageant will be applied towards your opportunity to compete in the 2027 National Pageant.
Will there be a National Pageant in 2027?
-Absolutely!
